FAQ

Frequently asked questions

01.
What is integrative psychotherapy?

Integrative psychotherapy is a model of treatment that works with the whole person (holistically) – including their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, physiological systems, and spirit. It is highly individualized, adapting to the individual’s situation. Integrative psychotherapists use a variety of methods, models, and techniques, adapting them depending on the client, situation, and stage of treatment.

02.
How many sessions do I need?

The number of sessions varies from person to person and depends on factors such as the client’s readiness and willingness, rapport, trust, relationships, therapist and approaches/models used, depth and complexity of issues, and the client’s progress.

03.
Are sessions held online or in person?

I am fully trained and qualified to provide therapy in person, online, or by phone. Many clients start with face-to-face in-person sessions and then, some of them,  move to online or phone format sessions.

04.
I used to see a therapist, but it doesn’t work for me.

There are many reasons why therapy may not work, including the level of rapport, the strength of relationships between therapist and client, choice of models and suitability of methods, willingness, trust, clearness of goals, and depth of involvement. We always discuss and reflect on your experience, as therapy is a cooperative effort between the client and therapist.

05.
